...continued... Mr. Kerr has also provided community planning services to Broward County, Cooper City, Coconut Creek, Dania Beach, Lauderdale Lakes, Miramar, Oakland Park, Pembroke Pines, School Board of Broward County, South and North Broward Hospital Districts, and many other public entities.
In 2009, Mr. Kerr was awarded the George W. Simons, Jr. Award for his “outstanding contribution to the profession of planning and zoning in the State of Florida”. In 2002 Mr. Kerr was appointed to the Fort Lauderdale Urban Design Core Committee focusing on a downtown master plan. Additionally, he was part of the team selected to create the Broward County County-Wide Community Design Guidebook. Leigh is a past president of Florida Planning and Zoning Association (FPZA). Mr. Kerr is a graduate of Duke University’s Nicholas School of the Environment and Mercer University. A Fort Lauderdale native, Leigh resides in downtown Fort Lauderdale.
